Acre Access Control Cloud Direct Commands

The purpose of this article is to explain and demonstrate the use of direct commands for the variety of devices found on the Acre Access Control Cloud environment. The commands are device specific so each section will show the available list of commands as well as an explanation if necessary of the command features.

Controller Direct Commands
Controller Direct Commands are as Follows:

You have the ability to Reboot (restart) the controller, Clear & Reload User Access Cards, Initiate a Database Download of any changes to the controller as well as Audit the Event History or View Live Events as they are happening. You will also be able to view who has the ability to access or modify the controller.

Downstream Direct Commands
The Downstream Direct Commands are as follows:

As the Downstream is an Intermediary between the Controller and the Serial Inputs and Outputs (SIO’s) it has limited direct command options such as Audit the Event History or view Live Events as they are happening.

Reader Direct Commands
Reader Direct Commands are as follows:

With Readers, you have the ability to directly control the Reader and the SIO’s (Serial Inputs and Outputs) attached to it depending on the action selected. In this case, the Pulse would initiate an access granted event that would effect the Input DOD and Trigger the electric lock relay to release the lock allowing access to the affected area. You can also set the device into the Standard or Online mode, Permanently Unlocked, or Locked (Lock Down) as well as Reset it into its automated state.

It has additional options to Mask programmed hardware, simulate a reader input to test functionality on install as well as Audit the Event History or view live events as they are happening.

Input and Output Direct Commands
Direct commands for the Input and Output Devices are specific to the device.

With Inputs, you have the ability to Attach or Detach an Input from a device as well as Mask or Unmask the input itself from reporting. You also have the standard ability to Audit the Event History or view live events as they are happening. With Outputs, you can test various functions through the Activate and Deactivate features as well as do a Temporary Pulse of the relay and Repeated Pulse to test the relay itself. You also have the standard ability to View Event History or Live Monitoring of the device.

Lock Down and Reset Commands

When properly configured, you will be able to execute Lock Down and Reset direct commands from the dashboard. To perform either command you simply need to Click on the Lock Down or Reset Command on the lower right portion of the screen next to the + sign used to add Widgets to the dashboard as shown below.

Prior to being able to utilize the Lock Down doors will need to properly configured and assigned to areas
